One-time deployment
We assess, source or work with hardware you already have, install, configure, and hand it over — documentation and training included. You get a server that works and the knowledge to keep it that way, with no ongoing commitment.
Servers built
to last
From site assessment to a fully configured, documented server your team can rely on — installed and supported by a Malaysian IT team that does not disappear after go-live.
Stratum Technologies plans, installs, and configures physical servers for businesses across Malaysia — from a single file server in a back office to a small rack running virtualized workloads for an entire company. We are an IT company first, so a server from us is not just hardware plugged into a wall; it is infrastructure that has to survive a power blip, a failed drive, and the person who set it up leaving the company.
Too many installations stop the moment the server boots. No RAID redundancy, no backup routine, no documentation — so the first real problem becomes an emergency call to whoever is free. We build the other kind: assessed properly, configured to standard, backed up from day one, and documented well enough that your own team, or ours, can pick it up without guesswork. If your priority is keeping data under your own roof rather than a third-party cloud, see our Privacy-First IT Solutions page for the reasoning behind that choice — this page covers how we actually build it.
These are not upgrades or optional add-ons. They are the baseline for every server we install, whether it is one NAS box or a multi-server rack.
We review your workload, growth plans, power, and network before recommending hardware — not after we have already sold you one.
Every server, switch, and cable run mounted, labeled, and secured to a standard your next IT person will thank you for.
Storage configured so a single failed drive is an inconvenience, not a data-loss event.
Patched operating system, restricted admin access, firewall rules, and unused services disabled before the server touches production traffic.
A backup routine configured and tested on day one — not “we will get to it later.”
A network diagram, credentials stored properly, and a walkthrough with your team, so nobody is guessing six months from now.
“Server” is a broad word. Below is the range we cover — most installations end up combining two or three of these on the same hardware.
Central file storage and a backup target for every workstation in the office, accessible only on your own network.
One physical machine running several virtual servers (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V), so you consolidate hardware instead of buying a new box for every workload.
Centralized login, permissions, and group policy for every computer in the business, so access control is not managed one machine at a time.
Self-hosted mail, chat, or conferencing kept on infrastructure you own, instead of a third-party inbox.
Line-of-business software, ERPs, and databases hosted on hardware you control, sized for how the software is actually used.
Centralized print queues and driver management, so IT is not chasing a broken driver on twelve individual desktops.
Not sure which of these you need? That is normal, and it is exactly what the free assessment below is for.
Whether you are a small office installing your first proper file server, an SME consolidating scattered desktops onto a virtualization host, or an established company that needs a domain controller and a real backup strategy, we are happy to give you the time of day. We work with the hardware and systems you already have where that makes sense, and recommend a clean rebuild where it does not.
Understanding what you need
We review your current setup, workload, and budget, then recommend hardware and a configuration that fits — not the most expensive option on the shelf.
Building it right
Racking, cabling, OS install, RAID, backups, and security hardening — tested before we call it done.
Keeping it running
Documentation, a walkthrough for your team, and ongoing support if you want it.
We don’t install servers for the sake of it. With careful assessment and human-centered design, we make sure the people actually using the system benefit — the staff member saving a file, the admin resetting a password, the owner who gets a call at 2am if something is wrong. And because we also run networks, IT support, and helpdesks for our clients, we install servers we would be comfortable being paged about ourselves.
Before we quote anything, we will review your current setup — on-site or remotely — and tell you plainly what you actually need. No charge, and no obligation to go ahead.

Not sure whether you need one server or five, or whether on-premise is even the right call? Tell us what you are running now, and we will take it from there.
It depends entirely on scope. A single file server is a very different project from a virtualized multi-server rack. Tell us what you need and we will give you a written quote with the hardware and labor spelled out, so you know exactly what you are paying for.
Neither is universally better. On-premise gives you control, data locality, and predictable long-term costs; cloud gives you elasticity and no hardware to maintain. We will tell you honestly which fits your situation — including a hybrid setup — rather than pushing whichever one we happen to sell.
Yes. We regularly work with existing hardware. We will assess it, tell you honestly whether it is fit for purpose, and configure it properly rather than insisting on new equipment.
A single server is often installed and configured within a few days. Larger builds — multiple servers, virtualization, migrations from an existing system — run longer and are usually staged so critical systems are not down while we work.
With a one-time deployment, you get full documentation and a handover so your team or existing IT provider can respond. With ongoing support, we monitor the server and respond directly — that is the difference between the two service options above.
Either. We can procure and configure hardware for you, or work with equipment you already own or have purchased separately. Either way, we will advise on whether it is actually suited to the workload before we install anything.
